Flights from Prague
Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and the location of Václav Havel Airport Prague. This international airport is considered to be the busiest out of the most recent EU member states, having handled over 13 million passengers in 2016 alone. Over the years it has received a number of awards, including a diploma and gold medal from the 1937 International Art and Technical Exhibition in Paris for the design of terminal 4.
Formerly called Prague Ruzyn? International Airport until its name changed in 2012, this airport operates regular flights from Prague to Milan as well as other top destinations around the world. It has two main passenger terminals and two general aviation terminals.
Directions to Prague airport
Václav Havel Airport Prague is roughly 10 km west of the city centre. The best way to get there depends on your preferences and where you're coming from. Bus lines 119 and 100 both run to terminals 1 and 2.
Train & Airport is a special service provided by Czech Railways and Václav Havel Airport for those catching a flight to or from the airport. Purchase a return VLAK+ Prague Airport ticket from any railway station that's part of the ?D network, then take the train to the Prague main railway station. From there you can get to the airport via the Airport Express shuttle bus.
Reaching Milan
Though not exactly known for scenic views, Milan has plenty else to offer its visitors. One of its best-known attractions is Leonardo da Vinci's 15th century mural–The Last Supper–in Santa Maria delle Grazie. If you're there for shopping (or at least window shopping), check out designer brands situated in the glorious Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Via Montenapoleone and Corso Venezia.
Within the Castello Sforzesco complex are several interesting museums where you can explore the Museum of Ancient Art, Archaeological Museum of Milan, the Egyptian Museum and the Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco. Near many of Milan's attractions is authentic Italian cuisine, so there's no excuse to skip a meal!
Getting to the city center
Flights from Prague arrive in Milan-Malpensa Airport located 49 km northwest of central Milan. At arrivals on the ground floor of both terminals are taxi ranks where you can take a taxi to the city. Several bus companies also operate from the airport to the main station. You can also get to central Milan or to Piazza Cadorna Station by train from terminals 1 and 2.
Orio al Serio International Airport also receives flights from Prague. From here you can take a bus or express coach to downtown Milan. While it has no direct railway connection, you can get to the Bergamo railway station via an ATB bus.
